This profession is a variant of the cleric profession.

Rangers are men and women who love to live outside of the cities, who prefer
to live in peace from the gifts of mother nature.
They are capable fighters who have combined the impressive defensive magic of
the clerics with the ability to hit fast and hard, so fights usually don't
take very long. They can use any weapon including fireweapons to great effect
without being specialized.
The harmonic way rangers live in the wilderness attracts some animals which
sometimes accompany them or even help in fights.
