Gnomes are tiny, stout humanoids who resemble short dwarves with round
faces, however, unlike dwarves, gnome females do not have beards. A distinct
trademark of the gnome race is their nose, which is often very large in 
proportion to the rest of their face. Gnomes have a passion for mechanical
devices and will spend long hours constructing complicated gadgets of no use.
Gnomes speak very quickly, and they possess the ability to talk, listen, and
gesticulate wildly all at the same time. Gnomes are moderately strong, and 
will make decent fighters, however they they tend to make better thieves, 
where their aptitude for rapid speech and movement is seen as an asset. 
Gnomes are relatively intelligent and will rarely find themselves in 
a situation they cannot handle.
